The lebanese Embassies have stopped renewing travel documents for Palestinian refugees. Those who wish to expressly obtain a new travel document can use the fast mail service (DHL) which is at the expense of the persons concerned and is available by visiting the following website: https://fasttracklb.dhl.com

Issuance of a new travel document for Palestinian refugees:
The travel document for Palestinian refugees is issued for five years (for those Palestinians registered at the general Directorate of political affairs and refugees, the UNRWA and the General Directorate of the General Security); and for three years (for those Palestinians registered at the general Directorate of political affairs and refugees, but not registered at UNRWA), and this after obtaining the prior approval of the General Directorate of the General Security.


Conditions and requirements to obtain or renew a Palestinian Travel Document at the Embassy of Lebanon in Switzerland : 

*   Fill out a Palestinian Travel Document Application Form in front of the Embassy staff.

*   Bring the expired Palestinian Travel Document.

*   The identity card of Palestinian Refugees, issued by the Ministry of Interior and Municipalities, General Directorate of the Political Affairs of Refugees, or a copy of an individual extract of civil status which date of issance does not exceed three years.

*   A copy of the Swiss Residence Permit or a swiss official document (identity card or passport).

*   UNRWA card (new version).

*   A copy of all documents above mentioned.

*   Two recent color photos with a white background (size length 4.3cm x width 3.5cm), showing full details of the face. The reproduction of an old photo is not accepted.

*   In case of loss/theft of the Palestinian Travel Document, the holder should provide a police report and a copy of the lost/stolen Travel Document, if available.

*   A Self-addressed Stamped envelope.

The presence presence of the applicant for a new Palestinian Travel Document at the Embassy is mandatory.

For applicants underage, both parents should be present at the Embassy in person and sign a consent letter, authorizing the minor (under eighteen years old) to obtain a Palestinian Travel Document.

Consular fees :

- Three years: CHF 180.00

- Five years: CHF 300.00

Note : Instead of incurring the hardship to come to the Embassy in order to receive the Palestinian Travel Document, it is sent by registered mail to the charge of the person concerned.
